The Spaghetti Western Orchestra

The SPAGHETTI WESTERN ORCHESTRA made its Australian debut at The Athenaeum Theatre, November 9th 2007.

Five extraordinary Melbourne musicians getting standing ovations internationally, rode into town to bring to life the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, the iconic composer of A Fistful of Dollars; Once Upon a Time in the West; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and many more.

Multi-arts' performers, with strong backgrounds in theatre, comedy, film music and a plethora of musical styles, the five – using a battery of conventional instruments, along with coat hangers, cornflakes, nail clippers, rubber gloves and other ingenious instruments pulled from their saddlebag of tricks - recreated the music and sound effects of the iconic spaghetti western films, every punch-up, gunshot and jangling spur.

The St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre

Australia, South Africa, New Zealand 1999-2007

The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre has had an association with Andrew Guild since they first toured in Australia in 1999.

The company was formed in St Petersburg by Konstantin Tachkin in 1994 and has now toured extensively around the world, visiting the UK, Japan, Belgium, Holland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre is led by the extraordinary Irina Kolesnikova, recently described by London’s Independent on Sunday as follows:

“Irina Kolesnikova has supreme technical control; her Garbo-like smoulder creates a transfixing allure, both regal and unbearably tender”
