Andrew Guild Andrew started his journey in the world of entertainment as the Artful Dodger in "Oliver" in the original Peter Coe directed production in Melbourne in September 1961. For the next few years he pursued his schooling at Carey Grammar in Melbourne as well as establishing a reputation as an actor around Australia and New Zealand. Eventually in pursuit of a day job (!) Andrew joined the venerable theatrical organization under the control of Garnet H Carroll at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. Joining the Edgley family in 1967 saw Andrew Guild being in an association which lasted for forty years. During this time he visited the most obscure corners of the Soviet Union, become a confidant of leading dance and circus performers around the world and circled the globe practically non-stop for four decades. Andrew estimated he has visited Russia over 250 times - mostly during the fascinating Soviet era, and was involved with the presentation of over 7000 performers and in excess of 170 different productions. |

He speaks Russian, knows the difference between a 'pas de deux' on an Opera House stage and a triple somersault in a Big Top. He can design a multi-million-dollar marketing campaign or sophisticated lighting rig, plan the movement of shipping containers around the world, or judge an International Circus Competition. Andrew Guild chooses to live in Melbourne and is happy to travel to discover new thrills and new talents which will appeal to audiences wherever there are beautiful theatres and spectacular Big Tops.
